FOCUS QUESTION

What shapes are leaves?

 

PREDICTION/ HYPOTHESIS*

I think leaves are all different shapes. I think if leaves have different shapes, then we can group them.

 

PLANNING  

First we looked at leaves. Next we separated the leaves in different bags based on their basic shape.

 

 DATA*

We separated the leaves into 3 main shape groups, heart (5), circle(6) and triangle(3).

 

CLAIMS AND EVIDENCE*

From my observations I saw that there are many different shapes of leaves. These can be grouped and sorted into categories based on shapes.

 

CONCLUSION/REFLECTION*

There are different types and shapes of leaves. Using our senses and observations, we can separate them into different groups.
